Challenge Overview

The purpose of the 100 Startups Challenge and how this documentation is meant to be used.

Challenge Overview

The 100 Startups Challenge is a focused effort to build 100 startups in 100 days while documenting the entire journey in public.

This is not just a build challenge. It is also a process challenge.

The objective is to improve the full operating system behind product creation:

  • finding ideas
  • scoping fast
  • shipping consistently
  • reviewing what worked
  • improving the workflow day after day

Documentation goal

This docs site is the internal source of truth for the initiative.

It will hold:

  • the purpose of the challenge
  • the current stack and tools
  • startup-specific notes and plans
  • build logs and lessons learned
  • repeatable workflows that emerge over time

Publishing goal

The challenge also doubles as a daily YouTube series.

Each day should contribute to two outputs:

  • a startup or meaningful product progress
  • a record of the process through video and written documentation

Standard for the project

The bar is not perfection. The bar is consistent execution with visible improvement.

That means the system should optimize for:

  • speed without chaos
  • clarity without over-documenting
  • repeatability without killing creativity
  • learning from each iteration

Next step

Move to Tooling & Stack for the baseline technologies and production tools that power the challenge.
